Esteemed Delegates, Directors, and Distinguished Guests,

Greetings, fellow delegates. My name is Dennis Luo. It is my honor to serve as your Secretary-General for the 2026–2027 DAISMUN Secretariat during my final year in high school.

The Secretariat's vision for DAISMUN is to foster a conference where students engage meaningfully with the tides shaping our world, while discovering connections between global affairs and the disciplines, interests, and skills they pursue beyond MUN and high school.

I feel fortunate to be part of DAIS, an environment where our student body comes from diverse backgrounds and bring with it different ways of thinking. Together with our Secretariat, I will work to ensure that DAISMUN provide a space where these perspectives can cross paths with one another.

The global challenges we face rarely surrender to simple solutions; meaningful changes often require more than eloquent speeches or ambitious declarations. That is why DAISMUN aspires to cultivate leaders prepared to translate ideals into action. Through our conferences, we offer a challenge to each one of you to work with others to understand complexity, work across differences, and take responsibility for turning ideas into reality long after the conference ends.

Whether you are joining us for your first conference or returning for another DAISMUN, I hope you leave with new friends, new questions, and a new sense of what you can do with what you have learned.

On behalf of the DAISMUN Fall Secretariat Team,

Dennis Luo

Secretary-General
