Chairs

Secretary General
Mason Kim
Hello there! My name is Hyunseo Kim, a junior, and it is my utmost honor to serve not only as the Chair but also as a Backroom for this FIBA committee. This is my second year in MUN. Delegate goal, is not only to ensure that competition logistics run smoothly, you are also responsible for letting the host country benefit from this event, and overseeing the tournament’s adherence to the United Nations’ sustainability guidelines. This is not an easy task, as you, delegates, will need to undergo comprehensive research in order to successfully complete the bid, and transform the beautiful game into a world renounced event.

President
Tony Zhang
Hey everyone! I'm Tony Zhang, and I'm thrilled to serve as the President of FIBA for DAISMUN XVI. My journey began two years ago as a wide-eyed delegate, and since then, I've had the privilege of attending many conferences. This will be my first time serving as a chair, and I couldn't be more excited to guide delegates through the fast-paced world of international basketball diplomacy.
To me, FIBA isn't just about rules and regulations, it's about celebrating the game that brings nations together. Whether it's debating hosting rights, player eligibility, or development programs, every decision we make has the power to inspire the next generation of athletes. Delegates, get ready to step onto the court — because in this committee, every resolution is a game plan and every collaboration is a step toward a stronger, more connected basketball world. Let us work together to make this session truly unforgettable.
