The DAISMUN Secretariat is delighted to announce the 16th iteration of the Dalian American International School Model United Nations Conference, which will be held on the DAIS campus from March 6th to March 7th, 2026.

​

Our theme this year, The Fractured Atlas: Mapping Sovereignty in a Shifting World, reflects a world where boundaries, political, digital, and ethical, are constantly being redrawn. As global powers grapple with emerging technologies, shifting alliances, and renewed calls for independence and identity, delegates are invited to explore the ever-evolving meaning of sovereignty in our interconnected age.

Throughout the conference, delegates will embark on a journey across time, geography, and ideology. From revisiting the Tokyo Trials and reexamining the foundations of postwar justice, to navigating the fast-paced digital realm in the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), to drafting global frameworks in the FIBA committee that merge diplomacy with the unifying power of sport, each debate challenges delegates to balance national interest with collective responsibility.

Every year, DAISMUN stands as both a platform for new delegates to discover their voices and a stage for experienced MUNers to expand their perspectives through innovative special committees. We believe that by fostering critical thought, empathy, and collaboration, delegates can begin to piece together the fractured atlas of our world and envision a more cohesive global future.

Let us unite under the banner of dialogue and diplomacy. Let us chart a new course through the uncertainties of our era. And above all, let us continue to uphold the ideals of understanding and cooperation that define our shared humanity.
